Telehealth services provided by Alévia Wellness & Behavioral Health are intended to offer convenient access to mental health and wellness care through virtual consultations. By using this service, you acknowledge and agree to the limitations associated with telehealth.
While telehealth can be effective for many conditions, it is not a substitute for in-person medical evaluation in all cases. Certain conditions may require physical examination, diagnostic testing, or immediate intervention that cannot be provided remotely.
Scope of Telehealth Services
Our providers may evaluate, diagnose, and manage a range of non-emergency conditions, including but not limited to mental health concerns, medication management, and general wellness support. Care is provided based on clinical judgment and may be limited by the nature of virtual communication.
We do not guarantee diagnosis, treatment outcomes, or the appropriateness of telehealth for every individual or condition.
Limitations of Telehealth
Telehealth services are not appropriate for:
- Medical or psychiatric emergencies
- Active suicidal or homicidal intent
- Severe mental health conditions requiring immediate supervision
- Situations requiring physical examination, lab testing, or imaging
- Severe substance use or withdrawal requiring medical monitoring
If a provider determines that telehealth is not appropriate for your condition, you may be referred to in-person care or another level of service.
Emergency Situations
Telehealth services must not be used in emergency situations. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency:
- Call 911 immediately
- Visit the nearest emergency room
- Contact the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988
User Responsibility
By using this service, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete health information
- Use telehealth services only for appropriate, non-emergency conditions
- Follow provider recommendations, including seeking in-person care when advised
Failure to follow medical advice or misuse of telehealth services may result in adverse outcomes for which the provider is not responsible.
No Doctor-Patient Relationship Guarantee
Use of this website or telehealth platform does not automatically establish a provider-patient relationship. A relationship is only formed after evaluation and acceptance by a licensed provider.
Limitation of Liability
Alévia Wellness & Behavioral Health and its providers are not liable for:
- Delays in care caused by technical issues
- Incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the user
- Outcomes resulting from failure to seek recommended in-person or emergency care
Our Commitment
Your safety remains a priority. If telehealth is not appropriate for your needs, we will guide you toward suitable in-person or higher-level care options.
